For the past 7 years, Kiwanis of Newburgh has been providing baby baskets filled with newborn essentials and car seats for families in need. With all of your support we have been able to alleviate some of the financial stress of having a newborn and allowing them to focus on what's really important- bonding with their babies!
The Lyme Disease problem was brought to Kiwanis' attention during 2000-01 when New York District Gov. John Gridley vowed to do something to help children afflicted with this terrible disease.
Join us for our summer golf tournament to help raise funds to support Kamp Kiwanis for children, located in Taberg, NY
Kiwanis of Newburgh teamed up with the Newburgh Armory Unity Center (NAUC) to build a much-needed playground for their more than 500+ children they serve. This playground project has significantly enhanced NAUC programming by providing the children another option to develop their social skills, creativity, problem solving and reasoning skills.
Kiwanis of Newburgh members team up with our Key club students from Newburgh Free Academy and Cornwall High School twice a year prior to Memorial Day in May, and Veterans Day in November to collect trash along Temple Hill Rd. This is done annually so that the road leading to the National Purple Heart Museum is clean for our veterans and visitors to the site.
Our members and Key club students bring their holiday cheer and best voices to our local Walmart and help ring the bells for the yearly Salvation Army red kettles. Come join in and sing along with us!
