In order to carry out all the projects that Kiwanis is involved with throughout the year, each member is asked to join one or more committees.

Advisory To consult with the President on various issues that arise during the year, concerning the club.
Beth Hoeffner Responsibility: Christmas Kettles, Support of Meals on Wheels with 70 Christmas Fruit Baskets, Yearly Christmas Party, Senior Citizen Projects, Adopt-A-Highway, Activity bags for St. Luke’s/Cornwall Hospitals, Personal Hygiene Kits for Hospice, Town of Newburgh Community Day, Town of Newburgh Memorial Day Parade, National Night Out & any other community service projects approved by the Board of Directors.

Club Newsletter Weekly, Monthly and as needed production of Club Newsletter
Finance/Budget Responsibility: Preparation of the budget, its presentation for approval & controlling approved expenditures.
Fundraising To generate funds to finance the club’s service projects & necessary business expenses.
Golf To handle all aspects of organizing, planning & implementing the success of our Annual Youth Services Golf Outing.
House Arrange decorations for special events, flowers and/or gifts for new member inductions and cards to be sent for various occasions.
Inter-club Arrange for visitation to each Kiwanis Club within the Hudson River Division, at least once a year.
Membership Growth Responsibility: Recruitment of new members & retention of existing members.

Public Relations To ensure that the public receives information about club activities through the media
Speakers Program ALL CLUB MEMBERS: To notify the monthly chairperson of their responsibility for their assigned month. To assist any member in identifying a potential speaker for a weekly meeting. Program Chair. Instructions: You should take your assignment seriously. Extend your invitation early & confirm it a week before your program date. Also, obtain a bio to ensure the speaker will be introduced properly & that the 15-20 time frame can be adhered to. Be at the lobby early enough to greet our guest &
Spiritual Aims To promote & support our religious community. To minister to members & their families in time of need
Sponsored Youth Services The Key Clubs, The Builders Clubs, The “K” Kids Club, Circle “K” Club, Presentation of awards & scholarships. Administration & awarding of camperships & leadership programs. Oversee any other youth activity approved by the Board of Directors
